What is FILMd
Our experiences have revealed that actors and SA's find it difficult to secure affordable demo tapes and showreels.
Here at STAGERIGHT NEWCASTLE we are offering to make you a short 1-3 minute showreel of your best performance.. We have a range of specialist and professional equipment that includes radio mics, lighting and camera equipment. We also have a group of actors who will work with you as either an SA[extra] or your playing partner. So what do you need to do to get your showreel?
HOW IT WORKS.
Decide what you want to be filmed.
This could be scene you have written yourself, a parody of another scene from your favourite film or TV Series or an introduction tape telling Casting directors a little about yourself
Get your script and learn those lines
By the time you get to set you should be off script and know what your actions are for the scene that you have chosen.
When you're ready, book your date
When you are happy that you want to get the scene filmed simply book your date using our booking form then email us your script together with a brief synopsis of what the theme is
WHAT'S NEXT
Tell us what you have in mind, any location ideas, who you might need as support. i.e. SA's or playing partner(s)
Tell us as much as you can about the scene and how you think it will look when completed and once youre happy, get onto the booking page and book your date.
Here we see a demo of a one person self tape filmed outdoors and at a location specific to the subject matter, ie a coal yard representing working class background. Think carefully about where you might want to have your showreel filmed, if you are remaking a scene from a police drama for instance, an office or desk area may work or indeed, if your scene is a home scene, then it stands to reason that inside a home would work best.
Dont worry if you cant think of somewhere to film, our team have a host of ideas and locations that could be used.

WHAT DO I GET?
Well ultimately the end product is a self tape that is yours to keep and use as you wish. Any content will be yours forever and any music or graphics used are all copyright free and therefore not subject to any restrictions on platforms such as youTUBE.

We will give you as much guidance as possible and we will provide the SA's, Sound, Cameraman, Director and of course any acting partnership required for the scene. We have a theatre at our disposal for any rehearsal time however this would require further payment should you wish to have rehearsals.
